The next meeting of the Hudson Historical Society will be held on Monday, March 9th at 7:30 PM in St. James Church hall.
Long-time resident and member of the HHS, Pat McCaffrey will be telling the story of one of Hudson's first French pioneer families, the Mallettes. She will speak of the first Malet who arrived in New France in the 1600’s, to the coureurs de bois, the adventurers, the warriors and the farmers.

Hudson Players' PETER N. WILLIAMSON *see details, click 'Read more' On Monday, February 9, 2015 at 19:30, the Hudson Historical Society will welcome Peter N. Williamson who will present a brief history of the Hudson Players Club. Now in its 67th year of operation, the Club is believed to be the oldest continuing English language amateur theatre group in Quebec. Peter and his wife Karen joined the HPC in 1967 when they arrived in Hudson after being active in amateur theatre in Belleville, Ont.

Martin Hofton will give a presentation entitled “The History of Pine Lake 1946- 1990”.
Illustrated with old photographs, Martin’s talk will include the incorporation of the Pine Lake Club, life at the Lake in the 1950’s and 60’s, problems with pollution and the acquisition by the Town of Hudson in 1984.
