S/L Peter Roper will be talking about his experiences as a WWII Typhoon pilot and especially his adventure over Normandy on D Day+1 when he was shot down and captured.
His presentation at 6 pm on the 7th June is exactly the 71st anniversary of the event.
Soon we will not have the opportunity to hear first-hand from our WW II vets as they are becoming an endangered species. There will be wine and cheese and admission is free, with a donation appreciated to defray the costs.
