The Annual Bottle Race
Each year in April, the Bottle Race was held on the Viviry Creek between Main Road and the Lake.
The winner received a 25 cent piece from a member of the Jeaks family, and a ducking in the frigid spring water.

Dragon explosion 1917
On August 18th, 1917, the munitions factory belonging to Curtiss Harvey Company of Canada at Dragon, near Rigaud, exploded, causing a good deal of damage in the immediate area and many broken windows as far away as Alstonvale to the east. MWP
